The Life of an HCA Nurse
Responsibilities:
Assesses, and plans for the care of assigned patients.
Carries out physician orders.
Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Instructs and educates patients and families.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current state of Mississippi or compact RN licensure required.
Ortho experience preferred
Current BCLS certification; ACLS within 12 months
Garden Park Medical Center is a 130-bed hospital located in Gulfport, MS, providing advanced medical care in Harrison County, including Biloxi and Long Beach. The hospital provides an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient services including 24-hour emergency room services.
